OUR BLOG

With a nostalgia for the past and a modernity of the future, The Yard (www.theyard-kw.com) offers a unique shopping experience into the world of design. Specialising in recycled vintage and eclectic pieces from upcoming designers and rooted with a recycling ethic, The Yard gathers beautifully designed pieces from all over and packages them in charming recycled products. Run by designers, The Yard also produces limited edition pieces, custom stationary, and product branding and packaging.

The Yard is managed and run by Danah Behbehani and Ala’a Ali Redha.
1-What do you do?

Co-manage an online boutique and freelance in graphic design (www.theyard-kw.com)

2- why do you do what you do??

The online boutique: we love looking for and finding eclectic designs and we wanted to share our finds with everyone and also to show people how the simplest items can be made into something beautiful, ie. recycled items. Graphic design: besides design, we are interested in concept and theory development and we find graphic design as a great outlet for that.

3- where do you do it? (online shop, business address, contact details and blog)

online shop. www.theyard-kw.cominfo@theyard-kw.comhttp://theyard-kw.blogspot.com/

6- What makes an event unique and meaningful to you??

Nice relaxed environment. I think lighting plays a big role in creating the perfect atmosphere for an event.

Birthdays because they are usually celebrated with close friends and are more intimate. Birthdays can also be as simple as a picnic to as extravagant as a ballroom party!

15- If you can throw an event anywhere in Kuwait.. where would it be? (kuwait towers, green island?)

Chalet or anywhere by the beach.
