The dress would definitely would. Not sure about the hat, but it's cute. I think one must have the guts to pull it off, because unfortunately, not everyone is going to understand the hat nor the appeal. I guess if it's a young, hipster crowd, it would; but for a conservative wearing crowd, it'll without a doubt stand out. At the end of the day though, isn't that what most brides want - to stand out? The dress is lovely, but if I were to get married, I would want some sort of oomph in my dress. Oscar is definitely a legend when it comes to wedding gowns, but this wouldn't be my first choice.
Thanks for all of the responses, we are trying to collect some info on what works and what doesn't for an upcoming event, that we will be hosting, we want to know what Novemberised friends and clients think of certain trends, and for those friends.. i would so do this look, but the hat would be slightly less poufy and no feathers.
There is a definite distinction between those who like this dress and those who don't, because we do beleive that our clients are more likely to wear something like a G.Valli dress or a valentino -esque dress to a mixed wedding then a big princess style dress. we are still researching..
The hat is a little over the top and costume like. It's wonderful on the model but not so good on anyone else in my opinion.
As for the dress, it's BEAUTIFUL. However, I wonder if it's appropriate to wear white on someone else's wedding. Something about that doesn't sit well with me.
1001 nights, i meant for brides to wear, its part of the oscar 10 bridal collection, at the shows they usually overdo the accessories to create drama, im sure a short veil would look excellent with it, or a floral corsage with a bun, liquid eyeliner and a lovely red lipstick... i guess its for the mixed wedding type of bride.
Oh ok :) Yeah sure for a bridal gown it looks nice. I would disagree about the short veil though. In terms of practicality yes of course it's practical - but I just think it sort of reduces the bridal look? Like it looks a little silly. A long veil, on the other hand, COMMANDS respect :)
(I don't really know what a 'mixed weddin' type of bride means.)

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
