“As soon as it opened its graceful doors to Rue de Rivoli over a century ago, Angelina became the meeting-place for Parisian aristocracy. Proust, Coco Chanel and the major French fashion designers all crossed each others’ paths here. Today, most people stop at Angelina after a visit to the Louvre – usually for a hot chocolate: it’s de rigueur. Served in a pitcher with tiny cups and a coupe of chantilly on the side, nothing comes even close to it. Just as famous are Angelina’s decadent Mont Blanc cakes. And it’s equally good for an elegant breakfast, or a lunch of rich quiches and light salads” (would love to site this.. but i forgot where this is from)
